About Jessica Beaver
Well hi! I’m Jessica Beaver! Most people call me Beaver, so feel free to do that as well! As a Philadelphia native with a passion for the creative and performing arts as well as spaces and events that celebrate community, I am most excited at opportunities to merge the old with the new.
I am of the belief that strong work places and communities are built on the ability to take the traditions and practices that bring us together, and then fit them into improved systems and environments that make things easier and more enjoyable for everyone.
Whether you are looking for a queer wedding, representative of your chosen family but that your parents also recognize, or are a seeking a productive yet warm rehearsal room that runs on AEA guidelines, I am excited to tackle whatever project that might feel like a big question mark to you and your team.
At The University of Pittsburgh, I studied Urban Studies and English Literature, where I honed my ability to provide effective communication, management, and planning on projects with several collaborators, each with limited resources and high-stakes investments. I also learned the value of spaces built to foster community and innovation, rather than to serve a bottom line.
Throughout my career, I have worked with organizations large and small such as The Free Library of Philadelphia, The Arden Theatre, Smith Playground, Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, People’s Light Theater, Yes And… Collaborative Arts, Tree House Books, and the School District of Philadelphia.
I love a collaborator with big ideas and dreams. I want to help you figure them out. Reach out if you need a pal with a good sense of humor (at least I think so) and is ready to tackle those big ideas from all sides.
