The Doctor is Dead- Stage Manager & Assistant Production Manager

The Doctor is Dead is a new musical created by é boylan. A contemporary fantasy for queer imaginations, The Doctor is Dead follows a secret society of trans outcasts living underground. Using their unique abilities to investigate a mysterious empty coffin, our outcasts sing a song of leaving, of grief that becomes giving, of what begins in the end. During the rehearsal process I systematically logged and tracked all script and music changes. I also managed the crew while The Doctor Is Dead ran in rep alongside two other productions during the Polyphone Festival. The festival’s workshop format required an abbreviated technical period, which further demonstrated my ability to lead a fast, efficient tech process.

Originally developed as an audio drama, The Doctor is Dead was further developed and adapted for live performance at Polyphone Festival in 2024. Listen to music from The Doctor is Dead here.
